Beauty is not perfection! We must remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. What does that mean? It means that WE are in control of looking in the mirror and seeing our own beauty. We are also in control of defining what beautiful means to us individually.
Seeing my own beauty has been an ongoing adventure.
The consistent theme for me is reminding myself that it’s the beauty within that is most important. This was something that was taught to me by my parents. When I feel beautiful on the inside with who I am, I feel beautiful on the outside too.
Someone once told me that every time I look in the mirror, I should say to myself “I am beautiful”. As simple or silly as this may sound, I want to share with you that it works! Positive self talk is key to how we feel about ourselves, both inside and out. We believe the stories that are running through our minds.
SO, my friends, I encourage you to see your beauty, both inside and out. To say to yourself in the mirror “I am beautiful” every single day, because you ARE beautiful. The world wants to see your beauty shine through.
Thank you to my daughter who coloured this “I am beautiful” picture from Write to Empowerment. We are going to frame it and hang it in our home as a reminder.
